Set up your account
Please give us some details – then we’ll set up your account so you can send e-cards straightaway.
Make sure you’ve got to hand:
- an electronic version of your logo (More information).
- your contact list saved as a .csv file (More information).
- a debit or credit card to make a donation to support Shelter’s work with homeless and badly housed people this Christmas.
You will also need to have Adobe Flash Player version 9 or higher installed on your computer. Flash player is free to download – you can download and install it here.
Uploading your logo
Shelter’s corporate e-cards allow you to include your company’s logo in the design. You will need to have a copy of your logo saved as a .jpg, .gif or .png file. When you upload your logo, you will be able to crop and position it within our card design, and then preview how it will look in the finished design.
What is a CSV file?
A CSV file is an easy way to transfer a large amount of information, such as your address database, from one program to another. Creating a CSV file from spreadsheet data is very simple to do using Microsoft Excel:
- Open your spreadsheet and go to the File menu, then choose Save As…
- Change the ‘Save as type’ or ‘Format’ field to read: ‘CSV (Comma delimited)’.
- Enter a name for the document and click Save.

How to set up your CSV file
Your file should contain only two columns. The first should contain the names of the people you are sending the e-cards to. The second should contain their email addresses.
